Community Noise is celebrating Black History Month with a short spot each new show we produce in February. This week our guest is Dr. Octavio Carrasco; we’ll talk about the importance and utility of music during the Civil Rights Movement, and we’ll listen to a couple selections. In the second half of our show, we’ll offer birthday greetings to Kurt Cobain (b. 20 February), play some Nirvana songs, and add some songs that maybe he would have loved.

Join DJ Barnabas on KBFG, 107.3FM North Seattle, Wednesday at 7pm and (repeat) Saturday 11am. We also stream from www.KBFGseattle.org.
