Cool show this week on Community Noise. Join DJ Barnabas Wednesday 7pm and (repeat) Saturday 11am on KBFG 107.3FM, North Seattle, or stream at www.fulcrumcc.org.

In addition to old standards from Gladys Knight, Talking Heads, and The Chameleons, we throw in some great Portland punk, offer some more digital pastiche from Dean Rosenthal, and play a piano piece from Seattle’s Jesse Myers. We’ll end the show with a surprising Elvis track.

Dean’s “digital pastiche” are tiny portraits of people that he admires, each composed of samples of both speech of the figures themselves and pre-recorded material of their pieces.

Community Noise is a place to find and share music. We strive to share music that we love, provide music you might not otherwise hear, and we hope that our listeners will offer their own recommendations.
