“Life is what happens to you while you are busy making other plans.”; John Lennon and Yoko Ono – “Beautiful Boy”
When I was in graduate school, my friend Heidi asked me, “what’s that thing you’re always saying about life? Where’s that from.” She went away with a thoughtful look. She ended up marrying her secret boyfriend. I don’t think she finished her PhD. The thing is, people are always planning for after school, for after retirement, for what their next job will be. Meanwhile, they have an on-going life that needs to be led.
Planning is good, yes, but live the life you have at the moment. Don’t wait to travel, don’t wait to start a hobby, don’t wait to find a life. That’s my thing.
This question is a day late. For on 6 July, 1957, 60 years ago, Paul and John met. (I know this, because my FB feed subscribes to BBC 6. So should you.) Anyway, WOW! What a thing to know.
OK, I’m going join in with this kind-of ? blog posts. I would say Rowland S. Howard’s Life’s What You Make It cover because after he recorded his last album which included the studio version he passed away the following year at just the age of 50. He’s more well known as the guitar player for The Birthday Party but this is his solo stuff!
