Day 14: A song you’d love to be played at your wedding

Wedding?  Well, I’ll play along.  The choice was going to be “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” by U2.  I have a cute/funny story about my friend Kim telling me a story about a wedding where the DJ played.  I laughed, I honestly thought I was supposed plus it’s damn funny, and I got in trouble for thinking it was funny.

So that was going to be my choice.  And then I found this.  Definitely this.  LIGETI “Mysteries of the Macabre” as performed by domiconductrix Barbara Hannigan with the Gothenburg Symphony.

Oh my goodness.  If Mozart’s mistress was a serious goth girl, with a closeted penchant for The Rocky Horror Picture Show, you might get something like this.

Interested in music from 1950s to the present, mostly indie bands and punk, but also avant garde, blues, Motown ... almost but not quite, anything. I'm looking for people to share music, new and old, and looking for new avenues to discovery new music. Come with me.

  1. My Chemical Romance’s I Don’t Love You because it would damn funny too! I would ask the DJ to throw in in the mix for the hell of it and as soon as you get married I’m waiting for the divorce too because most people don’t love each forever anyway!
