Day 13: A song you like from the 70s

I’m going to offer two, because sometimes, given a choice, my decision is “yes”.  “Yes” is a wonderfully powerful, playful, and kind word.  Here are two great songs from the 1970s; I’ve been indulging in the 70s soul in recent weeks.  Excellent lullabies before going to bed.

A recent revelation, I dig 70’s soul ; the voices, the sweet dance moves, the outfits, the instrumentation: groovy.  Soul, baby.

The Five Stairsteps ─ “O-o-h Child”

Brick ─ Dazz.   The flute!  I’ve been noticing the flute in 1970s pop music.  I’m working on learning more.

Interested in music. Most of my personal catalogue is indie bands, and punk, but also avant garde, blues, Motown ... almost but not quite, anything. I am now learning much about classical and contemporary works. I'm looking for people to share music, new and old, and looking for new avenues to discovery new music. Come with me.

  1. This is just impossible because there are a lot of great tracks for the 70’s I like but the very last one I listen to and total love plus also blogged about was Van McCoy’s The Hustle
