Day 6: A song that makes you want to dance

A few of us went to the Neptune Theatre in Seattle to see Stop Making Sense, and there we sat, watching the great Talking Heads concert film.  People kept whisper-asking, ‘are people going to dance?’ ‘can we get up and dance?’.  Finally when Burning Down the House started to play, I couldn’t take it anymore; I jumped up and entered my own little world of movement.  The whole house joined in.  Later a girl came up to me and my friend and said, “Thanks for starting that!”

I’ve accepted the 30 Day Song Challenge from Elena Panyard  (https://elenapanyard.com/).

[I’m starting to feel that a song everyday is a little bit spammy, but I’m having fun with it for now.  I may eventually just make one playlist, selecting from the challenge.]

Interested in music from 1950s to the present, mostly indie bands and punk, but also avant garde, blues, Motown ... almost but not quite, anything. I'm looking for people to share music, new and old, and looking for new avenues to discovery new music. Come with me.
